An Outing

That spring morning, in hazy daylight

We walked like twin spirits.

We watched from a hilltop at night

As large stars poured into the waters.

The sky garden’s enchanting roses,

Taurus, Orion, and Pleiades,

Bloomed one by one… And the lonely night

Reflected in the water, inspiring, boundless.

It was as if a new world was created and shone

From imagination, thoughts, and dreams alone.

With your face turned toward all this glitter, You sparkled like a crystal glass.

Gezinti

İkiz hayaletler gibi yürüdük

Puslu aydınlıkta o bahar günü

Gece, bir tepeden seyrettik, büyük

Yıldızların suya döküldüğünü.

Ülker, Demirboğa, Altınkelepçe

Tılsımlı gülleri gök bahçesinin,

Bir bir açıldılar... Ve ıssız gece

Suda tekrarlandı, ilhamlı, engin.

Bir âlem kurulur gibi yeniden

Baştan başa hayâl, düşünce, rüya,

Billûr bir kadehe benziyordun sen

Uzanan yüzünle bu parıltıya!
